Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) and strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development, scripting, and integration. The individual will be responsible for building, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions to meet business needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and take ownership of key service management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
ServiceNow Development & Configuration :
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow modules, including but not limited to ITSM, HRSD, GRC, ITOM, ITAM, ITBM, SecOps, PPM, APM.
- Customize ServiceNow platform applications and functionality, including UI Pages, UI Actions, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Data Policies.
- Collaborate with functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions that adhere to best practices.
- Build and manage ServiceNow workflows, forms, and business rules to streamline processes and improve productivity.
Scripting & Automation :
- Develop and maintain server-side and client-side scripting (e.g., JavaScript, GlideScript,
AngularJS) for business logic implementation.
- Implement complex automation tasks using ServiceNow Orchestration, workflows, and approval processes.
- Write and debug custom scripts for integrations and automation across the ServiceNow platform and external systems.
Integration Management :
- Configure and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using web services (SOAP, REST), MID Servers, and other integration methods.
- Develop inbound and outbound integrations to synchronize data between ServiceNow and external systems, ensuring data consistency and seamless operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, including monitoring error logs and performing root cause analysis.
ServiceNow Modules Expertise :
ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) :
- Implement, configure, and enhance ITSM processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Request Management.
HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery) :
- Develop HR service management workflows and portals for automating HR service requests and employee lifecycle management.
GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) :
- Implement GRC policies, risk assessments, and compliance frameworks to ensure security and compliance across the organization.
ITOM (IT Operations Management) :
- Integrate ITOM features such as Discovery, Event Management, and Service Mapping to provide complete visibility of the IT infrastructure.
ITAM (IT Asset Management) :
- Configure IT asset lifecycle management processes, ensuring optimal tracking, management, and auditing of IT assets.
ITBM (IT Business Management) :
- Provide solutions for project portfolio management, financial management, and demand management within the ServiceNow platform.
SecOps (Security Operations) :
- Configure and integrate security incident management, vulnerability response, and threat intelligence with ServiceNow to enable rapid response to security issues.
PPM (Project Portfolio Management) :
- Develop PPM workflows to manage project demand, resources, and overall portfolio visibility.
APM (Application Portfolio Management) :
- Create solutions for managing the entire application lifecycle, from planning to decommissioning applications.
Platform Maintenance and Optimization :
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including patching, updating, and upgrading ServiceNow instances.
- Monitor platform performance, conduct performance tuning, and recommend improvements to enhance the system's efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain best practices for platform security, data integrity, and system reliability.
User Interface (UI) Development :
- Design and customize ServiceNow Service Portals and other user interfaces to improve user experience and accessibility.
- Build responsive and intuitive ServiceNow user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and
AngularJS.
Collaboration & Documentation :
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in the design and architecture of ServiceNow solutions in alignment with business needs.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and customization to ensure knowledge transfer and ease of future maintenance.
Testing & Quality Assurance :
- Ensure the quality of delivered solutions by creating and executing test cases for functional,
integration, and regression testing.
- Review and validate solutions and configurations against requirements to ensure successful deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Support and Troubleshooting :
- Provide post-deployment support, including resolving incidents and service requests related to ServiceNow applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including identifying performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
