Executive - EHS

Job Summary:
Executive- HSE will oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company standards in all 3PL warehouse operations. The role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to maintain a safe working environment, mitigate risks, and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and national HSE regulations, including fire safety, hazardous material handling, and workplace health standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections of warehouse operations to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Maintain all HSE documentation and records, including safety manuals, policies, training logs, and compliance certifications.

1. Incident Management:

• Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and communicate findings to management.

1. Training and Awareness:

• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, including fire safety drills, first aid, material handling, and equipment operation.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across teams.

1. Environmental Sustainability:

• Monitor and manage waste disposal, energy usage, and other environmental factors to align with sustainability goals.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

1. Emergency Preparedness:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring all employees are trained in evacuation and crisis management procedures.
• Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services for preparedness and compliance.

1. Stakeholder Coordination:

• Work closely with operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to integrate HSE practices into daily workflows.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.

1. Continuous Improvement:
• Analyse HSE performance data and metrics to identify trends and implement improvements.
• Stay updated on the latest industry best practices and regulatory changes.

1. Purchase and Maintenance:

• Audit of safety related Infrastructure, equipment health and compliance.
• Coordinating with vendors for timely preventive maintenance and repair of equipment
• Coordinating for obtaining approvals and certificates related to compliances.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education:

Academic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Diploma, B.E
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field will be an added advantage

Industrial Education:

• ADIS/PDIS (Advance/Post Diploma in Industrial Safety)
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 will be added advantage

1. Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with 3PL warehouse operations is highly desirable.

1. Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software/tools.

1. Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
