Data Analyst- Bangalore

Role & responsibilities

• Data Collection and Management: Collect and manage large datasets from various e-commerce platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, Amazon, etc.), ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of e-commerce metrics such as sales performance, conversion rates, customer behavior, product performance, and marketing effectiveness.
• Reporting and Dashboards: Create and maintain detailed reports and interactive dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to business stakeholders.
• Customer Insights: Analyze customer purchase patterns, retention rates, cart abandonment rates, and customer lifetime value (CLV) to recommend strategies for improving conversion and retention.
• Market and Competitor Analysis: Monitor e-commerce trends, competitor pricing strategies, and market shifts to help inform strategic decisions.
• A/B Testing: Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to optimize website layout, marketing campaigns, and product offerings.
• Forecasting and Trend Analysis: Develop predictive models and provide insights on future sales, inventory needs, and growth opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment on data-driven decisions and provide recommendations for business optimization.

Preferred candidate profile

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong experience with data analysis tools and languages (SQL, Python, R).
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and modeling.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
• Proven experience in identifying actionable insights from large datasets and delivering meaningful recommendations to improve e-commerce performance.
• Experience in running A/B testing and interpreting results to drive business improvements.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an ability to work with large datasets and complex business problems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
