Network Engineer - Routing & Switching (8-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching solution

- Implement and support advanced network services and multicast routing protocols

- Lead network architecture design and implementation projects, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to Level 1 engineers and technical support teams.

- Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning to optimize network resources.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation and diagrams.

- Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs.

- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues

- Firewalls, switches, routers and other network equipment (Cisco, Fortinet)

- Collaborate with ISPs, telecom providers, and external vendors to resolve network-related issues.

- Ability to analyse network performance and identify bottlenecks.

Required Skills :

- Design, deploy, and support enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.

- Perform network configuration, maintenance, and upgrades, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Must have SDWAN experience & Wireless network & CISCO USC.

- Monitor network performance and implement performance tuning strategies to optimize network resources.

- Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams or vendors as needed.

- Implement and maintain network security measures, including access controls, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.

- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.

- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior network engineers and support staff.

- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network-related emergencies promptly.

- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network technology to recommend and implement improvements.

- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, etc)
