Project Name: Selection of Consultant for Establishment and Operationalization of State Level Programme Management Unit (PMU) For Directorate of Town Planning, Odisha

Client: Housing & Urban Development Department, Directorate of Town Planning.

Deployement Location: DTP Office at Bhubneswar, Odisha

Role & responsibilities- Masters in Urban Regional Planning or equivalent is must .

• Provide support and scrutiny of building plans as per Building rules & regulations and Zoning regulations.
• Support required for security of Master Plan / Development Plans / Sectoral Plans / Zonal Plans / Town Planning Schemes / Building or Layout Plans and other ongoing projects implemented by Director, Town Planning & Housing & Urban Development Department.
• Coordinate and facilitate various trainings, workshops, stakeholder consultations, capacity building initiatives and other related activities.
• Provide day-by-day technical support and facilitate smooth project implementation as per work plan.
• Prepare presentation, drawings, report writing, efficient documentation and organization of data.
• Develop MIS format & maintain spatial data base, compilation of data management.
• Develop a mechanism for regular monitoring of activities and tasks.
• Undertaking Urban Development initiatives as per the priorities of State Government.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by authority related to Town Planning.

Preferred candidate profile - Minimum 5 years of experience after Master's

• Experience in the field of Urban Design, Planning and Building Standards, rules and regulations and Urban Policies.
• Adequate knowledge in Planning & Building Standards, Rules & regulations and urban policies.
• Should have experience and practical exposer on designing Building Plans and Approval System.
• Ability to use latest software such as Auto CAD, MS Office, Photoshop and other software for design and analysis will be added advantage.
• Experience in working with ULBs or Government entities would be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication (Spoken and written) skills and demonstrated ability to explain policies and procedure.

Experience of working with Urban Local Bodies or State Urban Departments would be preferable.
