Cloud Engineer

Role Description:
Design and develop applications and systems. Perform business analysis and software analysis. May coordinate projects and perform system maintenance activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Application Software Development 6: Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.
• Applications Software Maintenance 6: Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
• Design and Conceptualization 5: Research and interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design.
• Websites/Portals Maintenance and Update 6: Design and oversee the functionality, usability, and accessibility of business-critical portals/websites using content creation and management tools as well as digital media to ensure that technical continuity is maintained and development standards are met.
• Technical Developments Recommendation 5: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users needs.

We are looking for an Cloud Engineer to strengthen our cloud platforms in specific but also within IT infrastructure technologies, ecosystems, and governance. As Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to modernize our current infrastructure landscape by utilizing modern cloud services and to keep our environment up to date with latest release, we are looking for skills that could help us bridge and transform technology and services from datacenter centric to cloud centric solutions. Your primary task will be to build and update our Enterprise Scale Foundation service and generally the CI/CD pipeline that we use to implement our services IaC (infrastructure-as-code). Our ambition is "everything-as-code" so you must have a good and broad understanding of Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS as well as the code to tie it all together. Requirements, you will have:
1. Knowledge and working experience on Enterprise Scale Foundation Service, Management Groups, Subscriptions, Dashboards, and overall, Azure Governance
2. Work with CAF, Landing Zones, and Guardrails (IAM, Policy, etc.)
3. Azure new services release and functionalities
4. Designing and implementing of cloud governance policies
5. Contribute to technical initiatives in the internal cloud infrastructure by delivering the internal methods/methodologies/principles into the customer projects.
6. Co-operate with other infra teams like Network and Identity Team to bring our platform to a higher level.
7. Experience working on Cloud Security framework/benchmarks e.g. CIS1.40, ISO27002:2013, etc.

8. You have hands-on experience with creating CICD pipelines for the Azure Infrastructure with different technologies: Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
9. You have good knowledge of Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, YAML, Bicep, Python, Go.
10. If you have knowledge of security and compliance in the automotive sector is a big plus.
11. Experience working on Crossplane, means creation XRD, CRD, XR, is big plus.
12. If you have experience on Documentation as a Code is big plus.
13. Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements, aligned with Product Owner requirement.
14. You speak English fluently (written and spoken).
15. You are very communicative and collaborative.
