This is an exciting digital transformation journey where the Engineering Manager will play a key role for setting and implementing our future workplace digital landscape for Volvo Cars




What youll do. You will lead and grow a team of hardworking engineers through an inclusive leadership, strong performance focus with people development at the core. You will ensure, delivery through agile methods, continuous growth and strong ownership. You work collaborative across the organization and have a team spirit mindset

Moreover, you will advocate and strengthen a modern, agile software development and help us develop and foster good engineering practices. You will ensure the solutions are scalable, sustainable, architecturally sound, and that technical debt is both incurred consciously and repaid in a reasonable time. Lastly, you will be an active member of the cluster engineering leadership team and collaborate with other leaders across the organization

Do you fit the profile?. We believe that you have experience of working with workplace digital landscapes, and it is meritorious if you have worked with designing highly available, scalable, secure, cloud native, globally distributed applications. You love to lead, develop, inspire and grow an engineering team, and have previous experience doing so; you are probably a technical manager today and you know what it takes to build a phenomenal team

You are very knowledgeable and passionate about modern software development that builds products our customers love. You are passionate about digital technologies and willing to work hands-on to try new technologies

We see that you have 10+ years of experience in application development, out of which 5+ years in leading development roles. Preferably you have proven expertise in developing integrations using established Enterprise Application Integration patterns and tools. Experience from big data and data lakes is very relevant in the Smart Building domain





Finally, you are someone that fully embraces a growth mindset, and you have the ability to encourage others to do the same.
