Automation Tester - C#/Selenium (5-7 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Test Automation Strategy Development :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the test automation strategy and framework.

- Identify the scope of automation and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk and business impact.

Test Case Design and Development :

- Analyze requirements and design test cases that cover functional and non-functional aspects of the application.

- Write clear, maintainable, and reusable automated test scripts using C# and Selenium WebDriver.

Framework Development :

- Develop and maintain a robust test automation framework that supports various types of testing (e.g., -functional, regression, performance).

- Integrate the automation framework with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for continuous testing.

Test Execution and Reporting :

- Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and issues.

- Generate detailed test reports and logs to communicate test results to the development and QA teams.

Defect Tracking and Management :

- Log defects in a defect tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

- Retest fixed defects and verify that they are resolved.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand application features and requirements.

- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide input on testing efforts.

Maintenance of Test Scripts :

- Regularly update and maintain existing test scripts to accommodate changes in the application.

- Refactor code to improve performance, readability, and maintainability of test scripts.

Performance Testing :

- Collaborate with performance testing teams to ensure that automated tests can be integrated into performance testing efforts.

- Identify performance bottlenecks and work with the development team to address them.
