Principal IT Analyst Cloud Automation Site Reliability Engineering

What Will You Do?

• Automate infrastructure provisioning tasks, including network components (VPC, subnets), EC2 instances, Elastic Beanstalk, and RDS databases, using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools in a CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop and implement automation for routine tasks like patching, version upgrades, backups/restores, DR environment setup, and AMI pipelines.
• Troubleshoot AWS and on-premises cloud infrastructure issues, following a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach.
• Partner with AWS Support to resolve escalated issues and ensure seamless operations.
• Identify improvement and automation opportunities, design solutions, and implement them for greater efficiency and reliability.
• Document procedures for automation processes and share knowledge across broader infrastructure teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure and scalable hybrid cloud deployments.

What Will You Bring?

• Extensive AWS Experience: 3+ years of deploying and managing cloud solutions within AWS, including hands-on use of services like VPC, EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, and Systems Manager.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
• CI/CD Expertise: Knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, AWS Lambda, Maven, Artifactory, and Git.
• Scripting Skills: Strong command of Python, Shell/PowerShell, and AWS CLI for automation tasks.
• System Administration: Solid experience with Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
• Cloud Security Knowledge: Familiarity with SecOps concepts, including endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, encryption, TLS, WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
• Monitoring and Logging Tools: Proficiency with tools like CloudWatch, New Relic, and Splunk.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Competence with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and ECR.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Critical thinking and expert troubleshooting abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• AWS Certification: Preferred certifications include Solutions Architect, DevOps, SysAdmin, or Developer.
