UI Developer - Javascript (3-6 yrs)

Job Description :

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications for the company. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, this candidate will be able to translate user and business needs into functional frontend design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

The position performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following :

- Work in the order of tasks prioritized from the PlanBoard and maintain the status of each of the tasks to the latest.

- Work in a fast paced, exciting, global development team, identify and solve high level software/systems related issues for a worldwide software company.

- Will be responsible for developing and delivering software modules/components in support of the current initiative.

- Develop modules for mobile devices, touch screen devices, and desktops.

- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

- Work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.

- Work closely with technical leads and engineers across other teams and ensure reusable components are built that are scalable and reusable.

- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting it.

Qualifications :

- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, Ext JS, Sencha added.

- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.

- Good understanding of creating and using WebFonts for creating vector icon sets.

- Good understanding of responsive design and media queries.

- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.

- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX calls.

- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.

- Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN}.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

- High attention to detail

- Analysis and problem solving skills

- Self-starter - Eager to learn new things.
