Senior QA Engineer - Kolkata

Position: Senior Test Engineer with 6-8 years of experience

Key Responsibilities:

Test Case Design and Execution:

1. Design, develop, and execute test cases for various automotive systems, such as infotainment, telematics, navigation, and ADAS.
2. Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing on automotive software and hardware components.
3. Ensure testing covers all possible real-world use cases, including boundary conditions, driver interactions, and hardware integration.
4. Document defects clearly and track them through to resolution using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
5. Collaborate with development teams to debug issues and verify fixes.
6. Create and deliver detailed test reports, including root cause analysis and post-testing feedback.
7. Provide technical guidance to junior test engineers and new team members.
8. Own the test projects, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
9. Ability to drive QA projects with minimal guidance and assistance from leads.
10. Should be proactive and act as a liaison between development, product management, and quality assurance teams to ensure cohesive product development.
11. Experience with 3rd party APK testing such as Spotify, Amazon Music etc. which are hosted as part of App-Store client.

Test Planning and Strategy:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for automotive software, including both manual and automated testing.
2. Define the overall testing strategy, including functional, performance, reliability, security, and compliance testing.
3. Review and analyze system specifications and user requirements to create appropriate test cases.
4. Prioritize testing efforts based on risk assessment and critical system functionalities.
5. Knowledge/Experience on Automotive domain is a big plus.

Test Automation:

1. Development and maintainenance of test automation scripts using tools such as Cypress, ReactJS Frameworks, Robot Framework, or Appium for automotive platforms.
2. Expericence with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, to support agile software development.
3. Knowledge on scripting languages such as Java, Python, etc is a plus.
