Job Synopsis:
In response to evolving business dynamics, there is an increasing demand for high-quality testing services while managing costs. This crucial role focuses on enhancing product quality by proactively addressing defects and optimizing testing processes. The Senior Automation Test Engineer will plan, design, develop, and execute testing strategies within the software testing division, primarily for U.S.-based clients. Effective collaboration across all departments is vital for improving quality in business transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and automate testing for web applications using Selenium (BDD/TDD) and API testing.
• Develop and optimize test automation frameworks, adapting to changes and troubleshooting issues.
• Apply advanced QA principles to ensure quality for enterprise applications (web, SOA, ETL, backend).
• Lead defect detection and problem-solving initiatives, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Create comprehensive testing plans and master schedules for projects.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members, fostering professional growth.
• Build frameworks for web and mobile automation, integrating with existing systems.
• Define and execute system integration tests across platforms (Web, iOS, Android) for end-to-end product quality.
• Take ownership of automated testing, including design, development, and maintenance of test scripts.
• Analyze and design automated test cases based on system requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand functionality and develop thorough test strategies.
• Validate and sign off on releases while managing defect lists and providing progress metrics.
• Optimize test quality through effective strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain documentation related to test and acceptance activities.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders globally.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent; minimum 5 years of automation testing experience in an agile environment.
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.
• Experience with API automation testing and cloud-based SaaS products.
• Proficient in Core Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a solid understanding of OOP concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
• Experience with Java IDEs (e.g., Eclipse) and ready-made automation frameworks (BDD/Cypress).
• Knowledge of build tools (ANT, Maven, Nexus) and database testing.
• Experience with mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6) is a plus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., TeamCity, Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in version control systems (SVN, Bitbucket, GIT).
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting deadlines.
