Database Administrator Job Location: Bangalore Salary: 24 - 28 LPA Experience: 6 to 10 years

We seek a skilled database administrator to join our team at Bangalore.
As a database administrator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining database systems and ensuring data security in our firm. Your role will also entail troubleshooting issues in our database management software and providing quick resolution.

You ll be required to work individually as well as collaborate with developers, system admins and end-users to maintain databases. Thus, your ability to communicate fluently in one or more database management languages will be vital for project-related analyses.

Please note this opportunity is STRICKTLY WORK FROM OFFICE (5 days working).

Responsibilities:
1. SQL Server architecture (memory management, IO, Backup-Restore mechanisms, High Availability options)
2. DB physical design structures: Table design, data types, Index design, Columnstore Index internals (mandatory!), functions, procedures, table partitioning and partition management
3. Locking mechanisms
4. Query Performance Tuning: familiarity with Extended Events, Query Execution Plans, Query Store and ability to use those to check and improve query performance.
5. SQL Server security configuration: Users and logins management, Audit, Certificates management, TDE
6. SQL Server Configuration Management: existing options and their meaning
7. Familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana stack to monitor MSSQL

Less important skills (Basic knowledge is sufficient):
1. OpenShift/Kubernetes, Helm
2. Git, CI/CD
3. SaltStack (knowledge in this is a big plus), or other Desired State Configuration Management software.
4. Python Development with focus on data or automation
5. Experience with testing frameworks
6. Windows OS internals understanding
7. PowerShell simple coding for day-to-day activities
