Role Overview :

We are hiring a MySQL Database Administrator with 5-10 years of experience to manage and maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL databases across multiple environments.

The ideal candidate will ensure optimal database performance, implement security protocols, and support database-related needs for development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer PostgreSQL and MySQL databases in development, testing, and production environments.

- Perform installations, upgrades, configurations, and migrations of database systems.

- Implement database security protocols and manage access controls.

- Monitor database performance and resolve issues to ensure high availability and efficiency.

- Design and execute backup and recovery strategies.

- Optimize database schema and queries in collaboration with development teams.

- Provide troubleshooting and resolution for database-related issues.

- Conduct capacity planning and manage database resources.

- Stay updated on advancements in database technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience : 5-10 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL database administration.

Technical Expertise :

- Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and administration.

- Proficiency in SQL and query optimization.

- Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools.

- Expertise in backup, recovery, and replication processes.

- Knowledge of database security management and data integrity principles.
