Manager - New Product Development - Jewellery (4-8 yrs)

Position Title: New Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development:

- Lead the end-to-end process of new product development, ensuring alignment with company brand vision and trends.

- Coordinate with design teams for manual sketches, CAD designs, and prototyping.

- Conduct regular quality checks (QC) at each stage of product development, from wax models to final samples.

- Ensure all designs are production-friendly while maintaining aesthetic standards.

2. Trend Analysis and Research:

- Analyze competitor trends, customer preferences, and market gaps to inform the product pipeline.

- Research global and local jewelry trends to curate collections that resonate with target audiences.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with merchandising, sales, and marketing teams to ensure product-market fit.

- Maintain regular communication with vendors to streamline manufacturing and timely delivery.

4. Sample Line:

o Manage company sample line for offline and online presentations, keeping it updated with market trends.

5. Project Management:

- Lead the product development team, optimizing workflows and achieving delivery milestones.

- Conduct periodic meetings to align on project timelines, priorities, and outcomes.

6. Quality Assurance:

- Perform final QC checks on all new designs to ensure customer requirements and design aesthetics are met.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fashion Accessories, or related field (NIFT or equivalent preferred).

- 3-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the jewelry industry.

- Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Corel DRAW, KeyShot, and Rhinoceros will be an added advantage.

- Strong analytical skills with a knack for identifying market trends and customer preferences.

- Excellent communication and project management skills.
