Chief Accountant

Accounting Operations:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department, ensuring smooth and efficient financial processes.
• Preparing and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounts, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Ensuring timely and accurate accounting entries and maintain general ledger.

Tax Compliance and Audits:

• Handling all aspects of Indirect Taxation including GST return filings, GST credit reconciliations, GST audits, GST refunds, and E-Invoicing implementation.
• Maintaining records and ensure compliance with Pre-GST Taxation, including VAT and Service Tax matters.
• Preparing and submitting Direct Tax filings such as Corporate Tax, TDS, and Advance Tax etc.
• Liaising with tax authorities for handling notices, audits, and routine tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes for pan India.

Banking & Financial Coordination:

• Coordinating with banks for securing working capital and credit facilities, ensuring the preparation of Credit Monitoring Arrangements (CMA).
• Preparing inventory reports for submission to the bank and assist in handling Stock & Receivable Audits.
• Managing the preparation of Letters of Credit for procurement and ensure Financial and Performance Bank Guarantees are issued for project execution.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and compliance.
• Supporting internal and statutory audits as required, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Assisting in budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis as requested by senior management.

Project Cost Management

• Monitoring and tracking project costs to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
• Coordinating with project managers and control project expenditures.
• Reviewing and processing subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project terms and conditions.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports for on going construction projects, including budget-to-actual comparisons and cash flow forecasts.
• Overseeing the preparation of cost reports, job costing, and project profitability analysis.
• Assisting in ensuring compliance with construction contracts, including reviewing terms and conditions and ensuring proper documentation for project claims.

Billing & Cash Flow Management:

• Preparing and tracking progress billing, including monthly invoicing for construction projects.
• Monitoring Material movement.
• Ensuring timely manage the billing process in coordination with project managers and clients.
• Assisting in managing cash flow for construction projects, including coordinating with finance teams for fund disbursement and payment tracking.

Liaison with Parties and Cleints:

• Communicating with external parties such as contractors, vendors, and clients regarding project financial matters.
• Working closely with procurement and contract teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and proper documentation.
