Java Developer - Spring Boot (1-3 yrs)

We are looking for a Java Spring boot developer, who can hit the ground running and lead our backend development. It will be a plus if the candidate has worked in a startup before.

An ideal candidate will be someone who :

a. Has 6 months to 2 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot

b. Is passionate about working in a very early-stage startup where s/he can learn extremely quickly and make a difference, with a potentially high upside

c. Is ambitious, wants to grow fast, and wants to become a tech architect

d. Can work independently, create projects from scratch & deploy them

e. Loves technology

Must have technical skills :

- Java/J2EE (Java 8.0 and above)

- Spring Boot

- Spring Security

- RESTful web services

- Data structures

- Reactive framework

- Relational DB (Preferably PostgreSQL)

- Agile development with continuous integration

Good to Have technical skills :

- Application/Web Server (such as Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, etc.)

- Mongo DB

- Knowledge of design patterns

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, etc.)

- Knowledge of how front-end UI works

Key Responsibilities :

1. Gathering and documenting business requirements

2. Breaking down the business requirements into technical specifications and documenting these

3. Developing code using Java Spring Boot as per the specifications

4. Creating JUnit test cases

5. Moving the code to GitHub and helping with testing

6. Getting familiar with the existing product and its code quickly

7. Maintaining the existing code

8. Analyzing and resolving bugs

9. Developing POCs whenever required

10. Quickly learning on the job
