Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for various laboratory tests and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections following standard protocols to obtain blood samples.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the blood collection process.
• Label samples accurately and maintain proper documentation of patient information and specimen collection.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure timely processing of samples.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring that all tools are sterilized and in good working condition.
• Assist in the training of new staff when required and participate in ongoing education and skills development.
• Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent patient care service.
• Follow up on pending results and coordinate with relevant teams as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Certificate in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• 0.6 to 5 years of relevant experience in phlebotomy or clinical settings.
• Basic understanding of laboratory practices and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and lab information systems is a plus.
• Professional demeanour and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification from a recognized phlebotomy association or college.
• Experience in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of various blood collection techniques and equipment.
