Job Summary:
Vijaya PH Diagnostic Centre is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of test results. The Lab Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluid analyses.
• Prepare samples for testing using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control protocols.
• Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of laboratory reagents and solutions.
• Maintain laboratory records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of procedures and results.
• Collaborate with team members to improve laboratory processes and efficiency.
• Provide support and assistance to physicians and other healthcare staff regarding test results and procedures.
• Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques.
• Participate in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Valid laboratory technician certification from a recognized accrediting body (e.g., DMLT, BMLT).
• Proven experience as a Lab Technician, preferably in a diagnostic laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality assurance practices.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer software for data entry and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated laboratory instruments.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
