Accountant

Reporting structure for the position - Will report to Managing Partner

Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for managing the group accounts encompassing total responsibility and accountability for proper bookkeeping, and hands-on involvement in the following functions:
• Maintaining proper and promptly updated accounts in Tally
• Maintaining proper cash vouchers and accounts for cash transactions and payments
• Cash payments processing for factory wages and purchases
• Processing payments with banks for wages, salaries, rents, purchases, taxes, duties, etc.
• Prompt GST, TDS, PT and advance tax filing, returns, submissions and payments
• Regularizing import & export bills with banks
• eWayBill processing
• Drafting and processing of domestic and export invoices, and drafting of import & export documentation for customs clearance
• Prompt submission of BOE and SB documents to bank for closure of import/export bills
• Coordination with CA for all tax filings and regulatory compliances with MCA and all other statutory agencies
• All other accounting and administrative tasks
• Maintaining proper KYC status with banks for all accounts and proper standing with all tax authorities on filings and payments
• He will take independent charge of the account books keeping and bank and tax authorities coordination and compliance.
• He will ensure swift and prompt action on all bank and tax compliance requirements and will work in time bound manner ensuring that no work is pending at any time and no penalties are applied by any agency.

Desired profile of the candidate :

• Must be a person capable of planning all functional activities related to the job function and to independently take charge of the job role.
• He must have a very good level of written and spoken communication skills and should be pleasant to work with so that inter-employee communication are swift, effective and result oriented.

Required Skill Set (In case of IT requirements):

• Must be well versed in using Tally ERP 9.0 or above accounting software, capable of using MS-Outlook email and experienced in using Excel for drafting financial statements and reports, etc., and Word for drafting general letters and other general communications.

Technical / Professional:

• Must be well versed in using Tally ERP.
