Job Description

1. Department / Team / Sub-Team Objective:
  • Position : Integral member of the Field Credit Operations team.
  • Primary Objective : Complete field tasks within the targeted Turnaround Time (TAT) while meeting the targeted efficiencies in operational metrics.
2. Area of Responsibility:
  • Scope : Responsible for daily operational management of VidyutTech (VT) in an assigned geographical area (covering 2-3 territories ).
Key Responsibilities :
  • Oversee Field Investigation (FI) , Document collection , Document signing , and EMI/recharge collection within the assigned territories.
  • Manage operations for partners and key customers to ensure seamless execution of tasks in the field.
3. Key Results / Outputs & Impact on Organizational Goals:
Key Result Areas (KRAs) :
  • Turnaround Time (TAT) : Meeting the operational deadlines for field tasks.
  • Number of FIs Completed : Ensuring timely and accurate field investigations are completed.
  • Collection Efficiency : Driving efficiency in the collection processes.
  • Non-Starter Percentage : Minimizing the number of loans that do not begin or face delays.
  • Early Default Percentage : Reducing early loan defaults by managing collections effectively.
4. Duties of the Role:
  • Team Management : Oversee the performance of field teams, ensuring optimal task allocation and execution.
Daily Task Allocation & Management :
  • Manage the allocation of tasks across multiple dealers, fleet operators, and marketing activities.
  • Monitor daily performance to ensure tasks are completed within the specified TAT.
  • Excel Expertise : Strong proficiency in Excel for tracking, reporting, and managing day-to-day tasks and team performance.
5. Expectations from the Candidate:
  • Passion for Data : Must be highly detail-oriented and motivated by data analysis.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : Capable of tackling complex, ambiguous problems and finding actionable solutions.
  • Self-Motivation & Ownership : Must independently take control of issues, drive solutions, and ensure operational excellence.
  • Complex to Simple : Ability to simplify complex challenges and processes to drive results.
Required Skills & Competencies for Success:
1. Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel Skills :
  • Ability to generate and manipulate data for operational tasks, including the creation of area maps with customer data sets , cluster executive locations , etc.
  • Expertise in data analysis, report generation, and decision-making based on Excel-based insights.
2. Communication Skills:
Oral & Written Communication :
  • Must have strong communication abilities to clearly explain operational tasks, gather customer feedback, and effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership.
3. Customer Backward Thinking:
Customer-Centric Approach :
  • Regular meetings with key customers across the territories to understand feedback on processes and products.
  • Ability to translate feedback into actionable insights to improve product and operational processes.
4. Problem-Solving Ability:
Issue Recognition and Resolution :
  • Must identify problems arising from systemic issues and propose quick fixes as well as long-term solutions to improve operations.
  • Ability to foresee potential problems and implement preventive measures to ensure smooth operations.
5. Ability to Get Things Done:
Execution & Supervision :
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time by supervising daily operations.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure deadlines are met and operational goals are achieved.
6. Strategic Thinking & Prioritization:
Efficient Task Management :
  • Apply strategic thinking to find ways to reduce TAT and increase efficiency, particularly in collection processes .
  • Prioritize tasks based on their business impact , ensuring that high-priority tasks are handled with the urgency they deserve.
7. Leadership:
Team Leadership :
  • Ability to manage large, multi-geography teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Taskmaster : Ensure that daily operations are on track, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Empathy : Balance being results-oriented with understanding and addressing genuine team concerns or challenges.
Relevant Experience & Qualifications:
1. Years of Experience:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a relevant role, specifically in lending operations or field-based financial services.
2. Industry Experience:
  • NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) or Fintech experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of the operational challenges in these sectors.
3. Educational Background:
  • Graduate/Post Graduate in any stream. Specific specialization in Operations Management , Business Administration , or Finance could be an advantage, but not a requirement.
