About the job Descriptions:-

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager/Senior BDM - Government Sales will drive revenue growth by leading government sales initiatives, identifying and developing new leads, and managing the complete sales cycle to successful contract closure. This role will play a crucial part in securing partnerships and contracts with government entities (Ministry of Education/State Education departments/educational autonomous bodies at state and central level/tribal/Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan of various state and central government bodies) and will be responsible for developing a robust sales pipeline in line with our strategic growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Government Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic plan to engage with government educational bodies, ministries, public sector units (PSUs), and educational institution at state and central govt bodies.
  • Lead Identification and Generation: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within government education, School education programs, and government-funded Educational initiatives.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation, close, and follow-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process.
  • Tender Management: Identify, pursue, and manage tenders and requests for proposals (RFPs) related to education and school segment k-12 within government entities.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government Education departments, JNV/KVS/Tribal Schools, and educational bodies.
  • Contract Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with government buyers to secure favourable contracts, pricing, and terms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with SPD/Secretary/state/central education, K-12, and district level educational officers to ensure the product is aligned with government educational needs and pricing models.
  • Advocacy and Policy Influence: Stay abreast of educational policy changes, government educational initiatives, and funding opportunities that could impact sales.
  • Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on sales performance, pipelines, and government sales channels at various levels.


Requirement:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, education/ management, engineering, or a related field. An MBA or a master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • 5-12 years of experience in government sales, ideally within the education domain,k-12 segment, educational policies.
  • In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, educational policies, and regulations in the education sectors.
  • Proven success in closing large-scale government contracts and navigating complex sales cycles in public/private sector environments.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in an understandable format.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance frameworks governing government tenders and contracts, including ethical practices and anti-corruption regulations.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel frequently to meet with government stakeholders across different regions.
  • Need Immediate Joiner.
