Mobile Application Developer (React Native)

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate React Native Developer with at least one year of experience to join our growing mobile development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will work closely with our product, design, and backend teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Implement UI/UX designs and ensure responsiveness across different devices and screen sizes.
• Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, and optimise application performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, especially within the React Native ecosystem.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our mobile applications.
• Participate in agile development sprints and contribute to sprint planning and execution.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with React and related concepts like JSX, components, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), and hooks.
• Familiarity with mobile development tools and frameworks (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio, Fastlane).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating with backend services.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for building high-quality mobile experiences.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with native iOS or Android development (Swift/Objective-C or Java/Kotlin).
• Knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Detox).
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with performance optimisation techniques.
