Job Description

Location: India - Based out of either Mumbai, Bangalore, or Chennai, with flexibility to operate remotely. Travel within India and occasional international travel as required.

About Cloudmon:

Cloudmon is a pioneering provider of unified observability solutions, offering comprehensive IT infrastructure monitoring, network monitoring and analysis, digital experience monitoring, and application availability monitoring. We leverage both agent and agentless methods, combined with a scalable network probe and controller, to deliver unparalleled insights and visibility into IT environments.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Sales with 15-20 years of experience to lead our sales efforts across India, reporting to CEO Cloudmon. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise sales, particularly within the infrastructure products and monitoring solutions space. This role is crucial for driving Cloudmon s growth and market penetration in India, developing a robust sales strategy, and leading a team of Senior Business Development Managers. The successful candidate will be self-driven, uncompromising on targets, and have the ability to integrate and promote togetherness within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed Cloudmon s sales targets in India.
    • Identify market opportunities and design strategic initiatives to capture market share and increase brand visibility.
  2. Leadership & Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Senior Business Development Managers across multiple cities in India.
    • Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, results, and professional development.
  3. Market Expansion & Channel Management:
    • Build and expand a network of channels and strategic partnerships to increase Cloudmon s market reach.
    • Engage with key stakeholders in large enterprises to drive sales opportunities and partnerships.
  4. Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers in target industries.
    • Ensure a deep understanding of client needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions that demonstrate the value of Cloudmon s offerings.
  5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with the product, marketing, and technical teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and market demand.
    • Coordinate with the implementation and support teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  6. Sales Operations & Reporting:
    • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely reporting of sales activities and performance metrics.
    • Utilize CRM tools to maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, opportunities, and outcomes.
  7. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and advancements in IT monitoring and observability solutions.
    • Provide insights and feedback to the product and marketing teams to enhance Cloudmon s market positioning.
  8. Revenue & Profitability Management:
    • Drive revenue growth while managing costs to achieve optimal profitability.
    • Develop pricing strategies and sales incentives to motivate the sales team and attract high-value clients.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience:
    • 15-20 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a proven track record of success in the infrastructure products, IT monitoring, and unified observability solutions sectors.
    • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling sales teams, with experience managing senior sales professionals.
  2. Industry Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of the IT monitoring landscape, with experience selling to large enterprises in industries such as HP, IBM, DELL, ManageEngine, or similar.
    • Strong technical acumen and the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non- technical audiences.
  3. Leadership & Management:
    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive a high- performance sales team.
    • Self-driven, with an uncompromising attitude towards achieving and exceeding targets.
    • Ability to promote integration and togetherness within the team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  4. Communication & Negotiation:
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives.
  5. Education:
    • Bachelor s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
