IT Business Analyst

About Vertex:

Vertex is a U.S. headquartered IT services company, with offices in the U.S., and India, serving customers in U.S., Europe, and Asia. We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to augment our delivery organization.

Role Summary:

• The IT Business Analyst performs requirements definition, documentation, and verification by working closely with Vertexs customer business teams and Vertexs project teams. The ideal candidate would be someone with a passion for ensuring IT systems/solutions run smoothly and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and create business requirements problem statement, user stories, security, performance, integrations, and reporting.
• Lead discussions with business teams to elicit and refine business requirements
• Document functional, non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Document UI/UX specifications.
• Perform gap analysis, systems comparisons, source to target data mappings.
• Be the functional expert for the project team.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and Hyper care phases.

Experience and Proficiency in:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Writing business requirement documents, and user stories.
• Translating business needs and problems into solutions.
• Analyzing data.
• Managing multiple projects, teams, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Engaging business, operational, and technical stakeholders.
• Agile / Scrum methodology, Azure DevOps.
• Digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
