Tech Lead-QA Test Automation

As a QA Tech Lead to oversee the quality assurance of a router product ecosystem, including the router firmware, mobile app, and associated cloud services. This role involves managing a team, defining test strategies, ensuring cross-platform compatibility, and driving automation efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong background in networking, mobile app testing, cloud services, and test automation.

• Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for the router, mobile app, and associated services.
• Lead and mentor the QA team, ensuring best practices in testing and automation.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product management teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, and system testing for the entire product suite.
• Ensure the router firmware, mobile app (iOS & Android), and cloud services work seamlessly together.
• Validate networking protocols, router configurations, and mobile-to-router communication.
• Drive test automation for router firmware, mobile apps, and backend services.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Work with automation frameworks like Robot Framework, Appium, Selenium, and Pytest.
• Validate networking protocols like DHCP, NAT, IPv4/IPv6, VPN, QoS, and Wi-Fi standards.
• Use tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and iPerf for network traffic analysis and debugging.
• Test router performance, security, and connectivity stability.
• Ensure seamless integration between the router and mobile app.
• Test Wi-Fi setup flows, firmware upgrades, remote management, and mobile UI/UX.
• Utilize mobile automation frameworks like Appium, XCTest, or Espresso.
• Validate cloud-based services that support the router ecosystem.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Ensure backend reliability, scalability, and data synchronization across devices.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Bugzilla.
• Conduct root cause analysis and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Generate test reports, KPIs, and quality metrics for leadership review.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience in QA.
• Networking Expertise: Strong understanding of routers, Wi-Fi standards, and networking protocols.
• Mobile App Testing: Experience in testing Android & iOS applications.
• Cloud & API Testing: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Automation Skills: Hands-on experience with Python, Shell scripting, Selenium, Appium, and CI/CD tools.
• Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive quality initiatives.
• Collaboration skills to manage the peers, partners and other stakeholders.
