About the Role

Windows and VMware Engineer: Supports and maintains all Windows and VMWare infrastructure across multiple datacenters.
Performs initial configuration in line with best practice. Ensures that all infrastructure remains patched and maintained in line with vendors recommendations. Carries out duties in line with Verifone s change process. Recommends improvements and optimizations to improve the overall reliability, performance and cost of the VCS platform.

What youll do

The Windows and VMware Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining VCS s Microsoft Windows and VMWare estate. An incumbent will work as a member of the multi-disciplined Server Team where we encourage cross skilling and learning. The role demands the ability to implement, maintain, administer and troubleshoot multiple Windows domain and ESXi clusters across a large datacenter footprint. Windows and VMware virtualized environment will be your focus, ensuring all infrastructure is patched and maintained. In addition, the Windows and VMWare Engineer will participate in engineering process improvements, incident response, and capacity resource estimates to the Solution Delivery and Operations teams, provide technical status for the deliverables assigned and track them to closure. The candidate personifying this role will be expected to work in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment and must possess excellent inter-personal, written, and verbal communication skills. A sense of urgency, self-motivation, accountability and commitment are some of the desired attributes.
