Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will oversee and manage the accounts receivable process for the Veranda Group. The role involves ensuring maintaining accurate records, adherence to Ind AS and working closely with internal teams and respective business CEOs.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, S2C reconciliation, Bank and account reconciliation.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing to customers students, parents, and corporate clients.
- Supports financial planning by forecasting cash
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, payments, and customer accounts.
- Updates receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions.
- Establishing processes and procedures, resolving issues, monitoring and analyzing accounts receivable balances, and creating reports and business intelligence.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards (Ind AS), statutory requirements, and tax regulations.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Team Coordination:
- Manage and guide a team of accounts receivable associates
- Collaborate with the finance, admissions, and sales teams to address billing or payment issues.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in the AR process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Introduce automation tools or software to streamline workflows.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) or professional certification (CA/ICWA) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in accounts receivable, preferably in the education sector or a service-oriented industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Accounting Standards (Ind AS)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
