Junior Gameplay Programmer

We are looking for a Junior Gameplay Programmer to join our development team and contribute to building immersive and engaging gameplay experiences. You will work alongside experienced developers, assisting in implementing game features, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance. This role is perfect for those with a strong foundation in game programming who are eager to grow in a fast-paced, creative environment.

----Role & responsibilities----

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for gameplay mechanics, AI, and game systems.
• Assist in implementing and optimizing gameplay features, physics interactions, and UI systems.
• Work closely with designers, artists, and other programmers to bring game concepts to life.
• Debug and resolve gameplay issues, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
• Document technical information and development processes for future reference.
• Collaborate with QA teams to identify and fix bugs to ensure a smooth gaming experience.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to improve workflow and game performance.

----Preferred profile----

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in game development or programming (internship experience included).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in C++ in Unreal
• Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine
• Understanding of game development concepts (game loops, game mechanics implementation, input handling, physics, AI).
• Familiarity with 3D mathematics, physics systems, and AI algorithms.
• Experience working with version control systems (Perforce, Git, or similar).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for playing and developing video games.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with optimization techniques for performance and memory efficiency.
• Familiarity with animation systems, procedural generation, or gameplay scripting.
• Basic knowledge of multithreading and performance profiling for optimization.
