Position Overview:
- The Senior Techno-Functional Consultant in Supply Chain Management (SCM) will play a critical role in enhancing our SCM offerings, as a techno-functional consultant, focusing on Goods Receipt, Warehouse Management, and Dispatch processes.
- This role demands deep expertise in these key areas to support the seamless operation of our supply chain solutions.
- The SME will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our SCM solutions deliver exceptional value and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level techno-functional knowledge and insights on SCM processes, specifically focusing on Goods Receipt, Warehouse Management, and Dispatch processes.
- Goods Receipt: Processes for raw material receiving starting from truck management, gate control, good receiving, QC, eCOA, Putaway, Label printing, and all associated operations.
- Warehouse Management: Processes to track, monitor, and maintain inventory: manage everyday complex warehouse operations like rule-based bin location proposal for putaway, control and track the transfer/storage of materials, and material movements between warehouses.
- Dispatch: Processes from truck arrival till the loading of Finished Goods.
- Good functional understanding of Vehicle Management, Material Management, Warehouse Management, Quality Management, and Inventory Management modules of SAP to ensure.
- Ability to Understand the terminologies and processes that the client follows in their plant so that the same process can be proposed with the designed solution.
- Exposure to the functional solutioning part of the integration of the ERP system with 3rd party applications ( say MES) to achieve the functional flow.
- Ability to identify the source of the root cause of an issue when found in an integrated system.
- MES / SAP.
- Able to propose new solutions that can leverage the capabilities of the SAP system which the client is unaware of and hence not using it.
- Identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and optimize processes within their areas of expertise.
- Implementation experience of plant warehouse management solutions and good knowledge of all warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with product development and implementation teams to design, develop, and optimize SCM functionalities.
- Lead the implementation of SCM solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
- Conduct workshops with customers to present our SCM Product offerings, and understand current processes and future needs.
- Conduct a thorough gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and customization to meet client-specific needs and create a blueprint design with the necessary solutions.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, and documentation for end-users and internal teams to ensure effective utilization of SCM solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for techno-functional support and troubleshooting related to SCM modules.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in SCM and related fields.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in supply chain management preferably in the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on Goods Receipt, Warehouse Management, and Dispatch.
- Accomplished functional & technical IT professional with expertise in one or more industry standard MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Products and implementation
- In-depth knowledge of SCM processes, integration points, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of successful SCM solution implementations and optimizations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in supply chain management.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or consumer goods.
- Knowledge of additional SCM modules and functionalities.
- Certification in relevant SCM software products.
