Sr. Manager- Maintenance & Project | Ready-to-Eat (Food Plant)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager- Maintenance & Projects, to lead our Ready to Eat food plant in India. He will be responsible for managing all maintenance and engineering activities in the RTE Plant. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of plant equipment, driving improvements in efficiency, and overseeing the successful execution of projects such as capacity expansion and facility upgrades. The position is critical for maintaining high operational standards and meeting production targets while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Essential: Full time Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical /Instrumentation

Engineering

Desirable: Full time B.Tech / B.E in Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering

Experience

Essential: Minimum 3-5 years experience in similar profile in RTE Industry .

Desirable: Overall, 6-8 years of experience in Foods Industry

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Engineering

• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal performance and minimize equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive timely resolutions to avoid production losses.
• Oversee utilities management (Electrical Supply, AHO, boilers, Air Compressor, Cold store Room, Industrial Water Chiller, RO, ETP, ) to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Manage and optimize spare parts inventory to reduce costs while ensuring availability.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule planned maintenance with minimal disruption to production.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.

2. Project Management

• Oversee the design, construction, equipment procurement, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art RTE food processing unit.
• Plan, manage, and execute capital projects, including new equipment installation, capacity expansion, and facility upgrades.
• Prepare project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans, ensuring adherence to deadlines and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors for successful project implementation.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes.

3. Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance and project activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture and conduct regular training for the maintenance team.
• Oversee equipment sanitation and cleaning protocols to maintain product quality and safety.

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Build, train, and lead a high-performing team across maintenance, and project management functions.
• Drive a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability throughout the plant.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback to team members for continuous growth.

Technical Skills

• Hands on experience on Retort & Filling Machines.
• Experience with automation and modern food processing technologies.
• Proven track record in maintenance & project management.
