Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Packaging Material Procurement: Source, evaluate, and procure high-quality packaging materials (such as bottles, jars, labels, caps, and cartons) for vedic cosmeceuticals, ensuring they meet company standards for quality, functionality, and design.
• Vendor Management: Identify and establish relationships with reliable packaging suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage stock levels of packaging materials to ensure adequate supply for production while avoiding excess inventory.
• Order Management: Place and follow up on orders for packaging materials, monitor delivery timelines, and resolve any delays or issues with suppliers.
• Cost Control: Work with the finance and production teams to ensure that procurement activities align with budgetary requirements, securing competitive pricing without compromising quality.
• Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that packaging materials meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and product specifications.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions, purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery schedules. Provide regular reports on procurement activities and any potential cost savings.
• Compliance: Ensure all packaging materials comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards relevant to the cosmeceutical industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing packaging materials, preferably in the cosmetics, personal care, or cosmeceutical industry.
• Good understanding of packaging materials, including their properties, applications, and regulatory requirements in the cosmetics industry.
• Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement software

Desirable Skills:

Experience working with sustainable or eco-friendly packaging solutions

Familiarity with packaging design and innovation trends in the cosmeceutical sector
