Reports to: Director

Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore and Hosur

(Travel to communities in Chennai, Coimbatore, Kochi, and Hosur will be required as needed.)

Position Overview:

The Senior Citizen Engagement Event Manager will oversee the planning, organization, and execution of events tailored to the interests, well-being, and enjoyment of senior citizens. This role involves creating meaningful and engaging experiences that foster social interaction, mental stimulation, physical well-being, and cultural involvement. The manager will work closely with senior living communities and partners to deliver programs that enhance the quality of life for elderly residents, ensuring all activities are enjoyable, safe, and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Planning & Execution

• Design and implement a calendar of events, including recreational, cultural, wellness, and social activities, tailored to the interests of senior residents.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and local businesses to plan and execute events within budget and on schedule.
• Ensure all events are executed with professionalism, aligning with the premium standards of the community.

2.Resident & Client Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and their families to address concerns, gather feedback, and foster relationships.
• Conduct regular surveys and meetings to understand the preferences and evolving needs of residents.
• Act as an ambassador for the community, promoting trust and satisfaction among clients.

3. Community Building

• Facilitate programs and initiatives that promote social connections and a sense of belonging among residents.
• Lead orientation sessions for new residents to familiarize them with community offerings.
• Encourage resident participation in events and programs through effective communication and outreach.

4. Marketing & Communication

• Develop promotional materials for events and programs, leveraging digital platforms and traditional methods.
• Maintain regular communication with residents through newsletters, bulletins, and social media updates.
• Represent the community at local events or exhibitions to promote the brand and attract prospective clients.

Desired Attributes:

• Bachelors degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Languages: Proficiency in Tamil and English is mandatory, knowledge of Hindi and Kannda is an advantage
• 3+ years of experience in event planning, especially for community-oriented events.
• Experience in managing events for senior citizens is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of elderly populations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with a strong sense of empathy towards seniors.

Working Conditions:

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
• Occasional travel to community sites for event management and coordination.
