Job Role | Technical Support Specialist

Vector Consulting Group is an 18-year-old homegrown Indian management consulting company. We offer unique solutions to chronic wicked problems in areas of supply chain, operations, sales & distribution, R&D, NPD, retail operations, Industrial CAPEX projects, and software development.

We have a strategic tie-up with TIS Inc., a $4.00 Bn Japanese company. Last year, we opened offices in Indonesia and the US and currently we have projects running in 23 countries.

We are seeking IT Support Specialists to join our VectorFLOW Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support, troubleshooting, and maintaining Theory of Constraints (TOC) software applications or other ERP applications. You will work with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of these applications, utilizing technical expertise in SQL, Python, Excel, Postgres, Batch Scripting, and IIS.

Role & Responsibilities

• Application Maintenance & Support: Ensure smooth and continuous operation of TOC and ERP applications, handling software-related issues and troubleshooting.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Regularly monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues related to databases (SQL, Postgres), Python scripting, IIS configurations and Excel integrations.
• Documentation & Requirement Gathering: Understand user requirements, provide clear documentation, and ensure the documentation is up to date.
• User Support & Training: Offer support to end-users and provide training, especially in Excel and using the applications. Create training materials, PPTs, and user guides.
• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain excellent communication with internal teams to ensure the efficient operation of the system and resolve user issues promptly.
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and implement system upgrades or changes.

Required Skills

• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in SQL (query writing, database management, performance tuning).
• Experience with PostgreSQL for database support and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with IIS (Internet Information Services) for web application support and troubleshooting.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop efficient solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain technical details in simple terms.

Required Experience

2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience in IT technical support, preferably with TOC or ERP applications.

Qualification

A Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

Work Arrangement

It will be in-office & will be based on different rotating shifts. Candidates must be willing to work in any assigned shift:

• Morning Shift: 6 am to 2 pm
• General Shift: 10 am to 6:30 pm
• Evening Shift: 2 pm to10 pm
