DIL is the largest franchisee for Yum Brands (KFC & Pizza Hut) in India and is the sole franchisee for Costa Coffee brand and cafes in India. DIL's home grown brands include Vaango, a popular destination for South-Indian vegetarian food, and The Food Street (DIL's food court) that serves multiple brands under one roof. DIL has a strong presence across Airports in India where it serves a variety of F&B offerings.
Purpose of the Role:
The Strategy Leader is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to achieve the company's long-term goals. The role involves collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, optimize performance, and ensure alignment between the company's strategic direction and market trends. This individual is expected to leverage data analysis, market research, and business insights to craft strategies that drive growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy and Roadmap:
- Assess, create and provide actionable recommendations for core business strategy issues in addition to identifying business priorities and initiatives that will accelerate profitable growth and market share gains.
- Partner with various business and functional heads to create strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Map out the growth journey with precision, including make/buy options
Execution of Strategic projects:
- Lead the successful execution of strategic projects, by understanding organization's long-term vision and goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Play a pivotal role in spearheading the implementation of critical transformation agendas, with a particular focus on projects related to Retail expansion, cost transformation and EBITDA enhancement. This entails developing and ensuring execution of comprehensive plans that encompass market analysis, customer segmentation, distribution channel optimization as well as sales and marketing strategies.
- Drive cross functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution all while monitoring key performance indicators to measure the impact and success of these transformational initiatives.
Drive Key external Partnership & Alliances:
- Identify business development opportunities in support of business growth
- Spearhead innovative partnerships with the leading players in the F&B retail space, while leveraging the system's massive supply chain, manufacturing and distribution capabilities
Digital Thought leadership and Transformation:
Steward and role-model the organization to embrace a digital growth mindset, by:
- Creating foundational digital capabilities to support the connected ecosystem, including Analytics
- Serving as a catalyst to digitize internally, in order to be more agile and engaging.
- Encouraging a fluid, learning culture that monitors trends, disruptive market forces and competitive moves.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including industry associations, government bodies, retail partners and suppliers.
- Represent brand's interests and values in all external interactions, fostering trust and collaboration.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in strategy development and implementation in QSR companies directly or in a leading consultancy on QSR clients.
- Digital transformation experience preferred
Required Qualification:
- Candidate must have completed MBA from a premier institute with 10 + years of experience
- Candidate must have significant exposure to end-to-end Project Management and Delivery
Desired Experience:
- Experience in strategy, consulting, or a similar role.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with dynamic working conditions
- Experience of liasoning with senior stakeholders
