Job Description
- Knowledgeable in the design, analysis, and integration of spiral-groove liquid metal bearings (hydrodynamic bearings).
- Experienced in prediction and control of load bearing rotor dynamic performance characteristics (resonance, vibration, balancing, and journal bearing whirl/stability)
- Experienced in the interactions of gallium alloys with both steel and moly-based construction bearings.
- Hands-on/Direct experience with successful LMB design and integration.
- Tribology of liquid metal bearings
- Experienced with Solidworks and GDT.
Education and Experience
- B.S. in Engineering
- 5+ years of related experience
