Job Title: Factory Manager (Mattress Industry)

Location: Meerut

Experience: - 8 to 10 years

Salary: - 10 to 12 LPA

Job Summary:

The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, logistics & Administrative processes, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of goods, including scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed promptly. He should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries & ensure adherence to operational policies, compliance with legal regulations, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily factory operations to meet production & logistics targets.
• Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
• Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.
• Lead and manage a team of factory employees, including supervisors, technicians, and operators
• Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
• Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
• Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
• Develop and implement production schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
• Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
• Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.
• Use of modern manufacturing techniques like TPM, TQM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing etc.
• Maximum capacity utilization, continuously lowering manufacturing costs and compressing lead time while meeting the stringent quality and delivery requirements.
• Ensure smooth execution of apparel production in the factory as per the buyers specifications and meet the shipment schedule
• Take ownership to achieve the goal and accomplish the job targets.
• Make production plans on a regular basis.
• Execute the plans and reach the target set by the company.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure that the inputs & accessories are arranged well in advance.
• Generate the master production schedule according to the capacity of manpower, equipment and material supply.
• Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding production processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing large teams and complex production processes.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Deep understanding of production processes, machinery, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and production management software.
• Ability to use manufacturing techniques like TPM, TQM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing etc.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
