Costing Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
• Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports.
• Conducting audits of suppliers or business partners to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Preparing reports on inventory levels, sales figures, and other metrics to help management make business decisions.
• Responsible for coordinating with other departments to collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
• Able to work with Operations and Service departments to determine fixed costs and Plan and record variable costs and Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies and raise necessary question to the respective departments to understand the deviation.
• Analyse and report profit margins to Management on monthly basis.
• Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts, Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role

• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures

• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. LN Infor)

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
