Responsibilities Develop and implement the overall performance testing strategy, methodologies, and best practices for software applications. Define performance testing objectives, requirements, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Design and architect the performance testing framework, including test environments, tools, infrastructure, and automation solutions. Develop scalable and efficient performance testing architectures that meet the needs of complex software applications. Lead the development of comprehensive performance test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications. Define realistic user loads, stress conditions, and performance benchmarks for testing. Execution of performance tests using industry-standard performance testing tools and frameworks. Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify performance bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential scalability issues. Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement performance optimizations and enhancements. Conduct performance tuning activities, such as code profiling, database optimization, caching, and resource allocation adjustments. Document performance testing results, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports. Communicate performance testing progress, status, and issues to project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business leaders. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to performance testing engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members. Proactively address challenges and obstacles to successful performance testing execution. Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Requirements Must Have: Bachelor?s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Software Architecture roles within the Property & Casualty insurance industry. Extensive experience and expertise in performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. You should have a strong foundation in performance testing concepts, including load testing, stress testing, scalability testing, and endurance testing. Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar. Additionally, strong scripting and programming skills in languages like JavaScript, Python, or Java are essential for test automation and performance test scripting. Strong architectural skills to design scalable and efficient performance testing frameworks, methodologies, and solutions. You should be able to architect performance testing infrastructure, environments, and tools to meet the needs of complex software applications. Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar. You should be able to monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify performance bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential scalability issues. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential for leading performance testing initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to mentor and coach performance testing engineers to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. You should be able to provide guidance and support to junior team members and help them develop their skills and expertise. Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence. Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode. Good to Have: Performance testing tools related certifications Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE or Agile certifications are desirable. P&C Insurance Knowledge - Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
