Snowflake Data Engineer

Sr Data Engineer Primary Skill: Snowflake, AWS Services (AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, S3) Secondary Skill: DBT, SQL, XML, JSON, Azure Data Factory Location: Hyderabad - Must have skills: ? An ideal candidate should have a good academic background with B.E./B. Tech degree in computer science engineering with 4-7 years of work experience. ? Experience in developing Snowflake solutions to load data into Data Lake and Data Warehouses ? Strong experience in Snowflake, including expertise in writing sub-queries and Common Table Expressions (CTEs) for complex data retrieval and reporting. ? Experience with Snowpark for developing data pipelines and applications ? Ability to optimize Snowflake performance through proper indexing, partitioning, and clustering strategies ? Knowledge of Snowflake security features, including role-based access control and data sharing ? Proficiency in utilizing various AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS CloudWatch etc. for data management and processing ? Excellent prior experience in handling data from various sources such as: RDBMS, XML, JSON, Excel/CSV etc. ? Hands-on experience working with large scale data and analytics platforms - including data warehouses, database, data storage, collection and aggregation models, techniques, and technologies, with the ability to apply such methods to solve business problems. ? Knowledge of best practices in data infrastructure, modelling, data quality, integration, warehousing, performance optimization, error handling, security, governance, and analytics. ? Experience in DevOps process and CI/CD deployment ? Candidate should be having good communications skills. Nice to have skills: ? Implement and manage data models using dbt, guarantee accurate data transformation and alignment with business needs. ? Experience in Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Store ? Exposure to PowerBI/Tableau ? Snowflake Certification ? Exposure to Banking, Mortgage, Insurance or Healthcare industry Domains. Your Key Accountabilities: ? Extracts data from various structured and unstructured data sources and build data pipelines to cleanse, standardise, transform, and load data. ? Experience in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes. ? Apply scaling, automation, and data preparation techniques - Introduce incremental improvements to data analysis, visualization, and presentation techniques to communicate discoveries. ? Work closely with the Tech Lead and convert the technical specifications to implementation. ? Demonstrate in-depth business knowledge to initiate and drive discussions with business stakeholders to identify business issues and solve business problems. ? Train and mentor junior Data Engineers.
