Position: Area Sales Manager

Joining:- immediately/15days
Location: Bangalore, India
Industry: Building Materials
Experience: 7 years in Sales, preferably in the building material industry.


Job Purpose:


The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales performance and market share growth in the assigned territory of Bangalore. With a deep understanding of the building material sector, the ASM will oversee a team of sales representatives and work with distributors, contractors, and customers to achieve business objectives.

  • Tile adhesive.
  • Epoxy grout
  • Wall care products
  • Paints
  • Water proofing ( optional )

Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
    1. Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned area, ensuring alignment with company goals. Focus on achieving sales targets and revenue growth in the building materials sector.

2. Should have strong competition knowledge, have relationships with other competitive
companies .ediate distributors across and capable of appointing Sales officers from the same
industry.

  • Market Analysis & Forecasting:
    Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, customer needs, and emerging trends in the building materials market. Prepare accurate sales forecasts and action plans.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including distributors, contractors, and architects. Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide necessary training to improve sales skills.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring:
    Track and report on sales performance, market penetration, competitor activities, and customer satisfaction. Utilize CRM tools to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Product Knowledge & Promotions:
    Provide guidance on the latest products, pricing, and promotional offers to the sales team and customers. Ensure that the sales team is well-versed in product specifications and features.
  • Budget Management:
    Develop and manage the sales budget for the territory. Monitor expenses and ensure the profitability of sales operations within the region.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
    Work closely with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery. Align with the product development team to provide feedback based on market demands.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights to the senior management team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years TO 7years of experience in sales, with at least 4 years in the building materials sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the building material market in Bangalore, including key players, trends, and customer needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with digital tools and sales automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and building material products.
  • Ability to work with architects, engineers, and construction contractors.
