Job description:

• Location: Chennai Lead and manage projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, tracking progress against key milestones and adjusting as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively resolving roadblocks to keep projects on track.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular status updates and reporting on project performance, challenges, and successes.
• Utilize PMO metrics and reporting tools (e.g., Jira) to track project performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and outcomes across the organization.
• Act as a mentor and guide to junior project managers or team members, sharing best practices and facilitating knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• PMP certification (Project Management Professional) is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong track record of successful project delivery across both waterfall and agile frameworks.
• Experience with PMO metrics and reporting tools to track and measure project performance.
• Proven experience rolling out ALM tools like Jira and enabling PMO metrics through tools like Jira.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on team collaboration and project success.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and prioritization.
• Familiarity with various project management tools and methodologies, including familiarity with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
