Job Description

Job Summary:

The Presales Business Consultant specializing in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) plays a critical role in the sales cycle by leveraging deep product knowledge, pricing strategies, and business insights to close deals.
This role involves understanding client needs, designing tailored RPA solutions, developing pricing models, and demonstrating how the proposed automation solutions align with client objectives while ensuring profitability.
The consultant will also work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful implementation of RPA projects, focusing on recommending RPA-based process optimization improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and identify business opportunities, especially around RPA implementation.
    • Participate in client meetings to gather business requirements, understand automation challenges, and provide consultative support.
    • Develop and deliver compelling RPA presentations, product demonstrations, and detailed pricing proposals tailored to the client s business needs.
  2. Pricing Engineering:
    • Develop and implement pricing models and strategies for RPA solutions that maximize profitability while addressing client-specific requirements.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand in the RPA space to set optimal pricing levels.
    • Work with finance and product teams to ensure RPA pricing is competitive, viable, and aligned with business objectives.
    • Present RPA pricing proposals, justifications, and business case models to internal stakeholders and clients.
  3. Solution Design:
    • Analyze client business processes and translate them into RPA-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and focus on process optimization improvements.
    • Collaborate with product teams and RPA experts to create custom automation solutions tailored to meet client needs, integrating pricing and implementation considerations.
    • Ensure the proposed RPA solutions align with client objectives, demonstrate ROI, and include the appropriate pricing impact analysis.
  4. Proposal Development:
    • Lead the creation of detailed proposals and responses to RFPs, including technical specifications for RPA implementations, cost estimates, and pricing models.
    • Ensure that RPA-related pricing structures in proposals are clear, competitive, and aligned with company goals.
    • Work with internal teams to ensure the feasibility, accuracy, and alignment of the proposed RPA solutions.
  5. Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary technical and pricing point of contact for clients during the RPA sales cycle.
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-level executives, especially in large-scale automation projects.
    • Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure smooth handover and successful implementation, particularly regarding pricing agreements and project timelines.
  6. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct research to understand industry trends, customer needs, RPA pricing pressures, and the competitive landscape.
    • Provide feedback to product development and pricing teams on market needs, potential RPA enhancements, and customer-driven pricing adjustments.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, RPA solutions, pricing models, and project timelines.
    • Report on presales and RPA-specific pricing activities, lead conversion rates, deal outcomes, and overall pricing effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree focused on pricing or financial analysis is preferred.
  • Experience:
    5+ years of experience in presales, business consulting, and RPA implementation within the technology or software industry, ideally with hands-on experience in RPA solutions.
  • Technical and Pricing Skills:
    • Strong understanding of UiPath, cloud solutions, IT infrastructure, and pricing models.
    • MUST HAVE: Ability to recommend RPA-based process optimization improvements and translate technical automation concepts into business-oriented language.
  • Business Acumen:
    • Experience in analyzing business processes and recommending RPA-driven solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • In-depth understanding of various industries and how RPA pricing and automation dynamics impact them.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, especially around RPA solutions and pricing matters.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in pricing and RPA-related challenges.
    • Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to complex client and pricing challenges in the RPA space.
