Senior System Engineer

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to join our Ops team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the Valamis learning platform.

As Senior System Engineer you will:

• Oversee and optimize day-to-day Kubernetes operations while proactively identifying and resolving critical issues related to reliability and performance. 
• Independently managing Kubernetes deployments.
• Develop and implement automation scripts. 
• Conduct in-depth issue investigations by analyzing logs, metrics, and systems to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Assist other teams providing information and monitor load testing activities and platform performance.
• Updating documentation on procedures and environments.
• Act as a technical support for Jaipur office laptops, internet and routers.

What are we looking for in our new colleague? 

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in System Engineering/DevOps.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including managing clusters, troubleshooting, and optimizing deployments.
• Has extensive knowledge on Linux & networking.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python for automation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure.
• Understanding of microservice architectures, installations, and auxiliary microservices.
• Understanding of security fundamentals
• Familiarity with system and application observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Experienced in incident management, including conducting deep investigations into issues by analysing logs and metrics.
• Great communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English skills.

It will be advantage if

• Terraform experience
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Helm and Ansible.
• Experience with hosting Scala, React, Kotlin, Liferay DXP projects
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MariaDB,  Kafka, Elastic Search.
