Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team. If you have a passion for Linux systems, storage management, and cloud technologies, and if you thrive in a collaborative and challenging environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- ZFS Filesystem Management: Proficient in managing ZFS filesystems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Linux Package Updates: Responsible for performing regular Linux package updates and security patches to ensure system stability and security.
- Networking Basics: Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configuration.
- VMware Administration:
Hands-on experience in VMware administration, including virtual machine deployment, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Cloud Technologies:
Knowledge of at least one cloud platform, such as AWS or Azure, including proficiency in deploying and managing virtual machines, storage, and networking resources.
- OS and Storage Performance Tuning: Proven ability to optimize operating system and storage performance
through fine-tuning and configuration adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
(or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 0-5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.
- In-depth knowledge of ZFS filesystems and Linux package management.
- Proficient in networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with VMware administration.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Strong understanding of operating system and storage performance tuning.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools Prometheus, Grafana.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+).
