Financial Leadership:
- Financial recording and reporting to ensure proper and timely accounting as per Indian GAAP, IFRS and Company Policy.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with the Global CFO, Bertelsmann team and other departments to establish financial targets and monitor progress. Ensure that budgets are effectively managed and tracked.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems, processes, and internal controls to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation to improve financial reporting and analysis. Ensure compliance with Group Audit, Bertelsmann guidelines, MAF , Risk Reporting and Be Trade
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure adequate liquidity to support the company's operations. Monitor cash management activities, including banking relationships, credit facilities, and cash forecasting.
- Financial Analysis on various business parameters and provide insights for faster decision making.
- Oversee the Shared Service function supporting Bertelsmann group companies on Finance, Banking and Audit compliance.
Enable expansion activities like investments, acquisitions, merger, corporate alliances etc and drive the company's expansion through strategic growth initiatives,
Technology & IT Infrastructure:
- Drive IT strategy, including ERP implementation (e.g., SAP), cybersecurity, and cloud solutions.
- Oversee digital publishing platforms and content management systems.
- Leverage data analytics to improve decision-making across departments.
- Understand how new technologies can be used in our industry
Supply chain & Warehouse Operations:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports the company's publishing goals, including production, warehousing, distribution, and retail delivery.
- Spearhead commercial decisions pertaining to printers, paper suppliers, transportation companies, and other key vendors.
- Negotiate with vendors for paper sourcing, printing, and distribution to reduce costs.
- Oversee the efficient management of inventory, ensuring that stock levels meet demand and work closely with warehouse teams to streamline processes, optimize space utilization, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Logistics & Distribution Oversight to ensure the smooth and timely movement of books from production facilities to storage, distribution centers, and retail outlets or customers.
- Technology Integration & Automation to enhance supply chain management, tracking systems, and reporting tools.
Strategic Leadership:
- Manage stakeholder communications with board members, and auditors.
- As part of the General Management Council , collaborate with the executive team on long-term strategic initiatives.
- Foster a work environment that drives high employee engagement, ensuring strong participation and Open communication.
- Mentor cross-functional teams in finance, supply chain, and IT, fostering innovation and build a leadership pipeline for critical roles
