Key skills for the job
VPATROL AI is a leader in mobile advertising, leveraging cutting-edge AI and big data analytics to optimize real-time ad bidding, audience targeting, and campaign performance. We work with large-scale programmatic ad platforms to deliver high-impact mobile ad experiences.
Job Description :
We are looking for a Data Science Engineers with expertise in mobile advertising to analyze large-scale real-time bidding (RTB) data, detect fraud patterns, optimize ad performance, and drive data-driven decision making. You will work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to develop machine learning models, build predictive analytics, and enhance ad targeting strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze large-scale RTB bid stream and user interaction data to extract insights and optimize ad performance.
- Develop and implement machine learning models for prediction, and fraud detection.
- Detect device ID spoofing, ad fraud, and anomalous patterns in mobile ad traffic.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models in production and optimize real-time decisioning.
- Develop dashboards and data visualizations (e.g., heatmaps in deck.gl) to monitor key advertising metrics.
- Optimize using reinforcement learning, Bayesian optimization, or multi-armed bandits.
- Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources, including mobile SDK logs, server logs, and third-party data.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in AdTech, programmatic advertising, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ATT/iOS privacy changes).
Requirements :
- 1+ years of experience in data science, preferably in mobile advertising, AdTech, or programmatic media.
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, and big data frameworks (Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar).
- Knowledge of RTB protocols, OpenRTB, bid stream data, and mobile advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID, MAIDs).
- Experience with fraud detection techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, device fingerprinting).
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
- Experience working with real-time streaming data (Kafka, Flink, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (deck.gl, D3.js, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Nice to Have :
- Experience with real-time WebSocket-based data processing.
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving ML techniques (e.g., federated learning, differential privacy).
