Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of 11kV/33kV substations, as well as HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, hands-on experience in substation projects, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Substation Erection & Commissioning
• Supervise and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of 11kV/33kV substations.
• Review technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and project specifications.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks and ensure all systems are installed as per design.
• HT/LT System Management
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of HT and LT Line transformer.
• Perform cable laying, jointing, and termination for HT and LT Line.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to safety standards during all phases of the project.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment to meet quality standards.
• Document and report on commissioning activities and ensure regulatory compliance.(MSEDCL)
• Team Coordination & Client Interaction
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure timely project execution.
• Train and supervise junior engineers and technicians.
• Provide technical support and updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Education
• Diploma/Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience
• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in substation erection, commissioning, and HT/LT systems.
• Technical Skills
• Knowledge of earthing systems, surge protection, and transformer installations.
• Soft Skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Competencies

• Understanding of electrical safety protocols and hazard management.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and design documents.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools like Megger, volt meter.
