Network Engineer - IT Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure Management: Set up, maintain, and optimize secure network infrastructure using CISCO and Palo Alto solutions for seamless connectivity across all city workspaces.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security measures like firewalls, CCTV, and access controls, and ensure compliance by conducting regular security checks and addressing threats promptly.
• IT Operations and Workspace Management: Manage daily IT operations in each workspace, quickly resolving tech issues to maintain high user satisfaction and productivity.
• Vendor and Product Coordination: Work with vendors to secure reliable, budget-friendly IT products and coordinate with the CIO to evaluate new security and networking tools.
• Support for Chief Information Officer (CIO): Align city-level IT initiatives with the CIO's strategy, regularly reporting on network security and operational efficiency.

Skills Required

• Experience: 5+ years in IT, with a focus on network security, workspace IT infrastructure, and incident response.
• Certifications: CCNA, ITIL preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced understanding of CISCO networking solutions, Palo Alto firewalls, VPN configurations, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Security Focus: Strong knowledge of security frameworks, incident response planning, and best practices for access control and threat mitigation.

Communication: Ability to report technical data and security insights to leadership, support security awareness initiatives, and ensure operational consistency across city locations.
