Job Description:
We are seeking a Content Editor with strong journalism and interviewing skills to lead content initiatives at our early-stage HR media start-up. You will be responsible for creating high-quality articles, conducting insightful interviews (both text and video) with HR leaders, and driving industry thought leadership. Your role will also require a strategic approach to SEO and digital marketing to ensure our content reaches and engages the right audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and edit high-quality, in-depth articles with a journalistic approach, focusing on HR trends, leadership, and culture.
- Conduct and lead text interviews with HR professionals, ensuring that the interviews are engaging, insightful, and industry-relevant.
- Apply journalism best practices in reporting, fact-checking, and sourcing content to produce trustworthy and accurate articles.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure content is aligned with business objectives and resonates with the HR audience.
- Lead content strategy for upcoming HR events and integrate content marketing efforts with event goals.
- Optimize all content for SEO to drive organic traffic and visibility across digital channels.
- Manage a content calendar, ensuring timely delivery and consistency across all articles and interviews.
- Build relationships with HR leaders, influencers, and professionals to source impactful content.
Desired Profile:
Experience:
- 4+ years of journalism experience, with a focus on business, HR, or industry-related content.
- Proven interviewing skills for text, with experience in conducting interviews with industry leaders.
- Strong writing and editorial background, with the ability to produce engaging, accurate, and in-depth articles.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of journalistic principles, including fact-checking, researching, and crafting compelling narratives.
- Expertise in SEO and digital marketing to increase content reach and engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with HR professionals and industry leaders.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple content projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with video interview formats and post-production editing is a plus.
